Through the waters of our baptism, God calls each of us to be faithful disciples, to grow to maturity in faith, and to engage actively in the ministry of nurturing followers of Jesus Christ who transform the world through love, justice, and service. Responsibilities and membership guidelines
Function as Christian stewards of the property God has entrusted to the congregation. This includes supervising and maintaining both the physical property of the congregation and gifts made to the congregation so that the ministries of the church can be effective and all legal requirements related to the property are satisfied.

Responsibilities and membership guidelines
Assists the pastor and staff in assessing their gifts, maintaining holistic health, and setting priorities for leadership and service. Communicates with the lay leadership committee and/or the church council when there is a need for other leaders or employed staff. Works with the pastor and other staff to fulfill legal and ethical responsibilities related to staff. Between 5 and 9 members; no staff member or immediate family member of a pastor or staff member may serve on the committee; only one person from an immediate family residing in the same household shall serve on the committee.

Responsibilities and membership guidelines
May delegate planning, strategizing, and implementing ways to generate more resources for mission and ministry. Finds creative ways, in collaboration with the church council, to grow the congregation into a tithing community with an attitude of gratitude and generosity. Receives financial requests to be included in the annual budget. Submits a complete budget to the church council for review and adoption annually. Develops and implements plans that raise income sufficient to meet the budget and administers funds received according to church council instructions.
