The Lord is my shepherd.
With the image of shepherd, Psalm 23 illustrates who God is for us.
God is near.
God watches over us.
God cares for us.
God will guide us.
God will protect us.
We are invited to join in saying, The Lord is my shepherd – to put our trust in God.

Dr. David A. Palmer has been the senior pastor at the United Methodist Church of Kent since 1995. He has a B.A. from Wittenberg University, a Master of Divinity from Duke University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary.
