Today we welcome Dr. Nathan Howe as the new senior pastor of the United Methodist Church of Kent.

We mark Rev. Douglas Denton’s last Sunday in the pulpit before his retirement.

We each build in our own way on the foundation of Christ; we each have a role to play in God’s church, and through it all it is God who “gives the growth”.

The importance of remembering what God has done, to give us the proper orientation for our future. A prime example of this is the remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice that we do in Communion.

In true humility, recognizing our need for God, we are lifted up in God’s grace.
