On February 26, the United Methodist Church of Kent will mark Ash Wednesday with a Service of Ashes in the Sanctuary beginning at 7:30 PM. This solemn service will begin the season of Lent, a time of reflection and deepening our relationship with Christ. Just before, the first of our Lenten potluck dinners will be held in Pierson Hall at 6:15 PM. Please bring a dish to share and disposable plates and cutlery for your family. The dinners will continue throughout the season of Lent each Wednesday, and will be followed in the future by special guest speakers. The first two sessions will feature Dr. Palmer discussing the future of the UMC denomination, followed by Rev. Bob Machovec covering “Caring for the Caregiver” over three sessions.
