You Keep Hope Alive

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3:17 (NIV

Hope is the word of the day. Advent is all about hope. Hope that our Lord is coming into our world in the fresh to bring us a real revelation of who God is as the living breathing son of God walking, talking, teaching, loving others, bringing healing, bringing inspiration, bringing redemption. At Christmas the Christ child comes as a baby to grow up as a normal person that can all relate to. Christ comes in the flesh that people can touch him, hear his voice, feel his Earthly presence. God is real, not just a spirit far off in heavenly places.

We have hope that a really relationship is possible with the powerful creator of the worlds. We have hope that there is a purpose out our simple lives, God wants to use us as a part of living out the reign of God on this earth. We have hope that love conquers evil, Hope for healing of body, mind, and spirit, Hope for fulfillment of dreams and passions giving to our spirit by The God of the universe.

There is hope in prayer, God hears the desires of our hearts. There is hope that God hears and feels our pain but gives us encouragement to pass through it to greater things in our future. There is hope in prayer to give us assurance, confidence, and strength to face what life dishes out for us.

Prayer: Thank you dear God for bringing hope into the world. Thank you for being hope and light in the darkness that serve to surround us. Thank you for the hope of your presence with us. Thank you for the hope that feeds our spirit, that heals our dis-ease, that nurtures our hearts. Help up dear God to feel your peace in our souls. Help us to feel hope when we are overwhelmed. Help us to feel your love and forgiveness when we have made mistakes and gotten off track. Help us to feel your acceptance, your grace offered to us freely. Help us to feel included, feel a part of your good work in this world. Bless our hurts, bless our fears, bless our confusion, bless our heart ache with your hope, with your love, with your spirit being with us in this season of our life, in this season of the year, in this season of your kingdom on earth. In the name of the Christ child we pray, Amen
