Fear
Sing aloud, O daughter Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart…the Lord is in your midst; you shall fear disaster no more.
Zephaniah 3:14–20
During these difficult times, I have been afraid. Many of us have been afraid. Things happened in our world that have never happened before. Things for which there seem to be no solutions. We keep trying and trying to find our way, to work things out, to find a cure, but it is so hard.
As this wonderful season of Hope approaches, let us stop looking for those elusive answers for a moment and try instead to re-discover the absolute joy we have in the gift of Jesus. In all this darkness, He is the Light, and His presence at our side will brighten each day until our fears are finally vanquished. Rejoice!
Thought for the Day: When everything around us seems so dark, look for the signs of goodness and light.
Prayer: In darkness, You are the One True Light, O Lord. Thank you for Your guidance and Your gift of Jesus, our Savior. Amen
