Youth Ministry

Our emphasis on helping young people to grow in faith continues as they enter into middle school and high school. Our full-time Youth Director, assisted by an active team of volunteers, leads an extensive youth ministry, which includes the following elements:

Youth Fellowships

Seventh and eighth grade and senior high youth have weekly fellowship gatherings on Wednesday evenings. These provide fun and fellowship with a spiritual focus. There are periodic outings, retreats, and service projects. Sixth graders have their own youth program that meets monthly on Sunday afternoons.

Youth Summer Mission Trip

Each summer our senior highs go on a week-long mission trip. They have typically engaged in home repair and children's missions. They usually go to Appalachia but will be taking part in the summer of 2005 in an urban mission in the Boston area.

Youth Drama and Dance

Youth produce a major play each spring, and there is a youth liturgical dance group that also shares in Sunday worship.

Confirmation Class

For seventh graders, this experience led by our Senior Pastor and Youth Director uses class sessions and field trips to help young people think through what it really means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Youth Sunday School

There are classes for teens at 9:30 each Sunday morning during the school year in our Sunday School.
