Music

Music is a powerful way in which we lift our hearts in praise to the Lord. Our worship leaders in music include:

The Sanctuary Choir

Under the direction of Dr. Frank Wiley, who is professor of music and director of the orchestra at Kent State University, this 30-voice choir sings at the 10:30 service year-round. Accompanying instruments include organ, piano, harpsichord, and, occasionally, strings, recorder, flute, trumpet, and other woodwinds.

“New Spirit” AND “Grace”

These ensembles bring a variety of contemporary gospel and “praise” music into our weekly worship, using keyboard, guitar, and drum accompaniment.

Bell Choirs

The “Chancel Ringers,” our adult handbell choir, and the “ZAMARingers,” our Youth handbell choir, bring the inspiring sound of English handbells into our worship each month. The ZAMARingers derive their name from an ancient Hebrew word, "zamar," which means "to praise God with music."

Youth Music

Junior and senior high youth can be involved in a variety of vocal and instrumental musical groups that share on occasion in worship.

Children's Choir

For 4-year-olds through fifth graders, this large choir sings monthly in 10:30 worship and also presents an annual Christmas Pageant and a spring musical.
