Sunday School

In our Sunday School classes, we seek to help children, youth, and adults...

  • learn the great stories and teachings of the Bible
  • apply the message of the Bible to their lives
  • come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ
  • show God's love through service to the world.

We have the following classes for children and teenagers:

9:15 am Sunday Classes

  • Preschool Child Care: Child care for infants and young preschoolers is offered throughout this hour.
  • Children's Choir: Four-year-olds through fifth graders learn Christian faith through music in our Children's Choir
  • Youth Classes: A 6th grade class, a 7th and 8th grade class, and a senior high class (9th-12th graders) relate Christian teachings to daily life
  • Holy Donut Shop: This fellowship time from 9:15 to 9:30 AM precedes the youth and adults classes, which actually start at 9:30.

All classes conclude at 10:15, in time for the 10:30 worship service.

10:30 am Sunday Classes

  • Early Childhood Classes: We have classes for infants, toddlers, two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and four-year-olds. The two-year-old class marks the transition from nursery care to Sunday School teaching, as these teachers introduce children to foundational Christian beliefs and behaviors. Preschool children, especially the younger ones, can start out at 10:30 in their classrooms, or they can be in the sanctuary for the start of worship and go to their classrooms after the "Children's Time."
  • Elementary Classes: Children in these classes go to the sanctuary for the first fifteen minutes of worship, then go to their classrooms after a "Children's Time" (a children's sermon usually given by the pastor). We have the following children's classes: 5-year-olds and Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and sixth grade.

Classes during this hour conclude at the close of worship at 11:30.
