Tree City Preschool was first opened in the fall of 1967 to provide three, four, and five year- old children in the community quality educational experiences to benefit them in their emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social development.

 

The Preschool is a ministry of the United Methodist Church of Kent and is licensed by the State of Ohio under the Department of Job and Family Services. 

 

Preschool classes meet in the Education wing of the church on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the school year. There are five class options for each class:

                  Morning Class                                         9:00 to 11:15          $110.00 monthly

                  Morning Class plus Lunchbunch         9:00 to 12:00         $140.00 monthly

                  Afternoon Class                                       12:15 to 2:30         $110.00 monthly

                  Afternoon Class plus Lunchbunc h    11:30 to 2:30         $140.00 monthly

                  All Day                                                        9:00 to 2:30           $250.00 monthly

 

Classes begin the Tuesday after Labor Day in September and end the third week in May. Christmas Break and Spring Break follow the Kent Public School Calendar.

 

Children may enter the three-year-old program if they are three years old by September 30 of that school year, or by special permission. Children may enter the four-year-old program if they are four years old by September of that school year, or by special permission. All children must be toilet trained before entering school.
